KFBIO | 2024 Japanese Society of Digital Pathology Annual Conference: Discussing the New Developments in Digital Pathology and AI with the Japanese Pathology Community

By Published On: 09/21/2024

From August 29 to August 31, 2024, KFBIO participated in the Annual Conference of the Japanese Society of Digital Pathology (JSDP), held at Okinawa Meio University, Japan. As one of the most important conferences in the Japanese pathology field, the event attracted more than 20 digital pathology vendors, with tickets sold out before the conference, and over 250 attendees participated.

The theme of this year’s JSDP Annual Conference was the localization and globalization of digital pathology. The Japanese Society of Digital Pathology believes that pathology diagnosis has global significance and universality, while also requiring application to the individual patient. JSDP aims to utilize globally standardized digital pathology technology to assist patients living locally.

KFBIO, deeply rooted in pathology, focusing on pathology, cultivating pathology, and serving pathology, is one of the few advocates in the country for full-process smart pathology solutions. By leveraging new-generation information technologies such as smart IoT, artificial intelligence, and big data, KFBIO creates fully digitized smart pathology solutions that are deeply integrated with medical systems, with comprehensive workflows and quality control. This philosophy aligns closely with that of JSDP, and KFBIO aims to continuously enhance its technological R&D and innovation capabilities to develop superior pathology equipment and smarter pathology software, offering better pathological services for patients worldwide.

During the exhibition, KFBIO’s Chairman Liu Bingxian, Vice President Kevin Gui, and Director of Overseas Markets Vito Wang introduced KFBIO’s digital pathology scanners and AI software to attendees. KFBIO not only designs and manufactures high-performance scanners but also independently develops high-accuracy AI software. The integration of both hardware and software provides an efficient solution for pathology diagnosis, attracting significant attention from professionals in the pathology field.

At the seminar on August 29, KEI TANAKA from the Department of Pathology at Nagasaki University Hospital gave a presentation titled “Evaluation of AI-Assisted Cervical Cytology Screening Accuracy” introducing KFBIO’s cervical cancer AI. In his talk, he noted that with the assistance of KFBIO’s cervical cancer AI, the diagnostic accuracy of pathologists can be significantly improved.

KFBIO’s participation in this exhibition enhanced its reputation within the Japanese pathology community and strengthened its ties with Japanese pathology professionals, laying a solid foundation for the company’s global development. We would also like to thank every visiting customer, friend, and industry colleague, and we look forward to our next meeting.
