Digital Slide Management System (KF-DSMS)

About it

The DSMS (Digital Slide Management System) enables fully digitalized management from slide generation to report release through automated uploading, intelligent quality control, and multi-level diagnostic collaboration.
Built on a B/S (Browser/Server) architecture, the system offers fast deployment, easy maintenance, and high scalability, supporting seamless integration with AI, LIS, PACS, and other systems.

Flexible Case Input

Seamless integration with scanners and LIS systems, supporting batch import and manual entry to quickly build a complete case database.

 Automated Upload & Smart QC

Slides are automatically monitored and uploaded with accurate OCR matching; dual human-AI quality control ensures data integrity.

Smart Assignment & Multi-level Diagnosis

Transparent task allocation supports multi-level diagnosis, remote collaboration, and structured reporting.

Powerful Viewing Experience

Supports multiple slide formats with split-screen and multi-monitor synchronization for smooth, low-latency viewing.

 Comprehensive Traceability

Automatically records all operation logs to ensure full traceability, data security, and regulatory compliance.

Web-based & Extensible Integration

Built on a web-based (B/S) architecture for fast deployment, easy maintenance, and seamless integration with AI, LIS, and PACS systems.

A: WG-26 is the DICOM Working Group for Pathology. It defines how Whole Slide Images (WSI) are stored, transmitted, and managed in a standardized way, enabling pathology images to be handled like radiology studies.

A: Proprietary formats (SVS, NDPI, BIF, KFB, etc.) hinder interoperability. DICOM standardizes image structure and metadata, allowing seamless data exchange across PACS, LIS, and AI systems.

A: DSMS supports the DICOM WSI SOP Class and DICOMweb protocols (WADO-RS, QIDO-RS, STOW-RS), allowing direct integration with PACS and third-party systems for viewing and archiving.

A: Not necessarily. DSMS remains compatible with major proprietary formats while enabling migration and unified management through DICOM-based pipelines.

  • Unified management of pathology and radiology images in one PACS.
  • Easier multi-center collaboration and tele-diagnosis.
  • Structured datasets for AI model training.
  • Long-term data accessibility and migration safety.

A: DSMS implements DICOM WG-26 WSI standards and DICOMweb protocols, and is interoperable with HL7 and IHE frameworks, supporting secure access control and audit logging.
