The AI-assisted cervical cancer screening platform has promoted the effective implementation of the screening project of breast cancer and cervical cancer in our city. It changes the traditional working mode of the pathology department. The WSI scanning and AI-assisted analysis effectively reduce the workload of laboratory pathologists, improve the diagnosis quality, enhance the technical ability of cervical cancer prevention and control in this city, and improve the screening level and efficiency of breast cancer and cervical cancer.
We did tens of thousands of controlled clinical trials in the early stage, and now AI helps screen out 50-70% of the negative cases. Now only 2 pathologists are required to screen 100,000 cases a year with the help of AI. Originally, according to the regulations, one pathologist can only diagnose 100 slides a day at most, and 4 pathologists are required for 400 slides.
Regarding publicity, everywhere we install the scanner, the feedback has been positive.
I have been working with KFBIO scanners for a while now and I found them quality and precise machines with state of art technologies and user friendly applications. We are extensively using scanners for H&E, IHC and FL stained surgical biopsy tissues to communicate with our offsite pathologist throughout the US. I have experience working with scanners of different brands and I would say KFBIO scanners are much quicker and efficient with more accurate tissue detection capabilities. The fluorescent scanning feature is a top notch. I would still suggest some improvements in softwares interface for both scanner and image viewer but overall acceptable. I would recommend using KFBIO scanners to anyone in the field of pathology.
KFBIO is actively exploring the possibility of establishing a municipal key artificial intelligence screening laboratory.
We feel the advantages of KFBIO scanners in scanning speed, image resolution, stability and service. We hope to promote the cooperation in digital pathology and remote consultation in the future!
