Participating in Japan’s Leading Digital Pathology Conference

From August 29 to August 31, 2024, KFBIO participated in the Annual Conference of the Japanese Society of Digital Pathology (JSDP) at Okinawa Meio University, Japan.

JSDP is one of Japan’s leading conferences dedicated to digital pathology. This year’s event brought together more than 20 digital pathology companies and attracted over 250 attendees. The conference was also fully booked before it began, highlighting the growing interest in digital pathology and AI-driven healthcare.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for pathologists, researchers, technology providers, and industry experts to exchange ideas and explore the latest developments in digital pathology.

Sharing a Common Vision for Digital Pathology

This year’s conference focused on the localization and globalization of digital pathology. JSDP believes that pathology diagnosis should combine globally recognized standards with patient-centered clinical practice. Its goal is to use standardized digital pathology technologies to improve healthcare for local communities.

KFBIO shares this vision. The company is committed to advancing pathology through continuous innovation and close collaboration with healthcare professionals worldwide.

By combining smart IoT, artificial intelligence, and big data technologies, KFBIO delivers end-to-end digital pathology solutions for modern laboratories. These solutions support complete pathology workflows, strengthen quality control, and improve laboratory efficiency.

Moreover, KFBIO continues to invest in research and development. The company develops advanced pathology equipment and intelligent AI pathology software to help laboratories provide faster, more accurate, and more reliable pathology services.

Demonstrating End-to-End Digital Pathology Solutions

During the exhibition, KFBIO’s overseas team welcomed visitors from across Japan and other regions. The team was led by Chairman Liu Bingxian, Vice President Kevin Gui, and Director of Overseas Markets Vito Wang.

The team showcased KFBIO’s digital pathology scanners and AI pathology software. Together, these solutions provide an end-to-end digital pathology platform for hospitals, laboratories, and research institutions.

Unlike many solution providers, KFBIO develops both its hardware and software in-house. This integrated approach ensures seamless compatibility, reliable performance, and a more efficient pathology workflow.

In addition, visitors experienced live demonstrations of the company’s latest technologies. The team explained how KFBIO’s digital pathology solutions support slide digitization, AI-assisted diagnosis, and laboratory automation in real clinical environments.

As a result, many attendees gained a deeper understanding of KFBIO’s products. They also expressed strong interest in the company’s integrated digital pathology platform and its practical applications.

AI Supports More Accurate Cervical Cytology Screening

One of the highlights of the conference was a seminar held on August 29.

During the session, Kei Tanaka from the Department of Pathology at Nagasaki University Hospital presented a study titled “Evaluation of AI-Assisted Cervical Cytology Screening Accuracy.”

The presentation introduced KFBIO’s cervical cytology AI solution and demonstrated its value in clinical practice.

According to the presentation, KFBIO’s AI helps pathologists improve diagnostic accuracy during cervical cytology screening. It also supports more consistent screening results and assists pathologists in handling routine workloads more efficiently.

Furthermore, this presentation highlighted the growing role of artificial intelligence in digital pathology. It also demonstrated how AI can support pathologists by improving workflow efficiency while maintaining high diagnostic quality.

Strengthening Collaboration with the Japanese Pathology Community

JSDP 2024 provided KFBIO with a valuable opportunity to connect with pathology professionals across Japan. Throughout the conference, the company exchanged ideas with researchers, clinicians, and industry partners while showcasing its latest digital pathology innovations.

These discussions strengthened KFBIO’s relationships with the Japanese pathology community. They also provided valuable insights into local market needs and future technology trends, supporting the company’s continued product innovation and global development.

Looking Ahead

KFBIO remains committed to advancing digital pathology through continuous innovation. The company will continue to develop intelligent pathology equipment, AI-powered software, and integrated workflow solutions that help laboratories improve efficiency and diagnostic quality.

By combining advanced hardware, artificial intelligence, and laboratory automation, KFBIO aims to support smarter pathology laboratories and accelerate digital transformation worldwide.

Finally, we sincerely thank every customer, partner, and industry colleague who visited the KFBIO booth during JSDP 2024. Your support, feedback, and valuable discussions encourage us to continue innovating and delivering better digital pathology solutions.

We look forward to meeting you again at future international pathology events and exploring new opportunities to advance digital pathology together.
