On July 12, KFBIO held its first postdoctoral report evaluation meeting, marking an important milestone in the company’s research and innovation journey.

The Human Resources Department organized the event and invited experts from leading universities and research institutions across China. Participants included representatives from the University of Science and Technology of China, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China University of Mining and Technology, Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, and Ningbo University.

In addition, representatives from the Yuyao Human Resources and Social Security Bureau attended the meeting and provided valuable guidance. Chairman and General Manager Liu Bingxian and Deputy General Manager Wang Kehui also participated in the evaluation.

The meeting highlighted KFBIO’s long-term commitment to scientific research, talent development, and industry-academia collaboration. It also reflected the company’s continued investment in digital pathology research and medical innovation.

First Postdoctoral Fellow Successfully Completes the Program

During the meeting, Dr. Hu Yan, the first postdoctoral fellow at KFBIO’s postdoctoral workstation to complete the program, presented the research outcomes of the project titled “Three-Dimensional Imaging and Anatomical Path Projection Based on Pathology Specimens for Remote Interactive Guidance.”

After reviewing the research results, the expert panel agreed that Dr. Hu had successfully completed all planned research objectives. The experts unanimously approved the completion of the postdoctoral program.

Advancing Breast Cancer Research

Dr. Zhang Yiwei presented a research proposal titled “An Intelligent Breast Tumor Microenvironment Analysis System Based on Sub-Millimeter Three-Dimensional Photoacoustic Tomography.”

The project focuses on addressing current technical challenges in breast cancer screening and diagnosis. It aims to develop an intelligent analysis system that supports more accurate and efficient clinical decision-making.

After reviewing the proposal, the expert panel agreed that the research objectives were well defined. The experts also recognized the project’s innovative approach, clear technical roadmap, and strong clinical value.

As a result, the panel unanimously approved the research proposal and supported the official launch of the project.

Steady Progress in Postdoctoral Research

Dr. Hu Qiu also presented a mid-term progress report during the meeting.

According to the expert panel, Dr. Hu has made steady progress by following the approved research plan. During the program, Dr. Hu published two academic papers and applied for an invention patent.

Furthermore, the panel confirmed that all mid-term evaluation requirements had been successfully completed. These achievements demonstrate the strong research capabilities of KFBIO’s postdoctoral team and the effectiveness of the company’s research platform.
